I am currently 21 years old, and ever since I was 14 years old, this girl has been appearing in my dreams.
The main problem turns out being that she may not be real, i.e. I never saw her in real life or anything. The dreams are normal stuff, non-sexual ones, where we are usually in a place I know and we're chatting. However, I never recall what we're chatting about when I wake up...

These days, I've been dreaming about her every freaking night, and this is driving me nuts.

Ok, it seems stupid, but I may have even fallen in love with her, and I don't know what to do... I can't simply forget about her, because when I go to bed, I am almost sure she will appear in my dreams and kinda hurt me, as I am afraid that it is impossible for me to find her in my real life.

It's 6:21AM around here, and I am even afraid of going to bed...

(A note, ONLY serious answers please, and be sure to back up your answer with anything you can. For example, say "do THIS because INSERT REASON HERE")

I already went to both a psychologist and a psychiatrist, and they both told me this isn't anything for me to worry about.

Concerning the "hurting me" issue, it's just psychological pain, in the sense of loving someone and not being able to touch her, fell her, or anything...

About using sleeping pills, already tried that, didn't worked very well, as I kept on dreaming about her.

About the dreams, she isn't always using the same clothes, but we always meet in different places and she always has the same face: black hair by her shoulders, glasses and really white.

Recurring dreams are trying to tell you something. It could be trying to curb a repressed fear you have of being alone, or perhaps it could be a premonition to the girl of your dreams in a more literal sense. This girl could very well exist, and she could very well be made up by your mind. My suggestion would be to get out there into the dating world and try to meet someone you could see a life with, if you two hit it off really well it's entirely possible that your new partner will replace this girl in your dreams. However if that's not an option or it doesn't work, try sometime to take sleeping pills before you sleep and try and sleep through the dream as much as you can, find out why this girl is so important, why she haunts your dreams every night, promising a relationship that never delivers. Also, have you ever heard of a lucid dream? It's when you are dreaming but you have control of what happens. I'd try and do that, there are many methods to help you achieve a lucid dream, just do a google search and you'll find plenty. If you manage a lucid dream you could control what happens, and you could ask her who she is and why you dream about her every night, and maybe you'll find some answers. I hope that some of this at least is helpful.

OK, let me preference this by saying I am not an expert on dreams. That being said, I think it is obviously you are meant to meet this girl. The next time you fall asleep and start dreaming about her, try to focus on other things than her. You apparently know where the dream is taking place so we will have to go deeper? Do you recognize things around her? Is there a certain re-occurring event that happens each dream. Maybe start by documenting the dreams in a journal until you notice something that is consistent. Maybe you will find out that why the place is familiar, the event or time has yet to occurr. I have a personal theory about dreams, that they are comprised of three things: 1) You emotional state during the previous day (You fly when you do well on a test or are feeling good about yourself, when you are feeling down, you may dream about being chased and not being able to run away) 2) Something that registered in you short-term memory but did not stick - you walk past a clown in the street, that night you either fly over one(feeling good) or are being chased by one (bad day) 3) Unknown, possibly psychic activity related to the future.
You need to filter out one and two, and somehow focus on number 3.

I have had dreams like that too. Usually only one night though. I am thankful for them. Although I think you may be dreaming of someone you may have already met. Your subconscious may have altered her look. Or your in a relationship your not really ready for but may be afraid to back out of. Don't let the fact that your or your friend will be hurt in the short term stop you. A lot of people get married because they don't have the courage to get out of a relationship that they are not truly in love. the relationship is comfortable and they get along well just that something is missing.

Hi there. You really dream about her for 7 years now? That is very special. Does she look the same in your dreams? Like wearing the same clothes etc...? Can you tell us more. To dream for 7 years now, have you only dreamed about the two of you chatting? If there is more, please tell us. Because then maybe we can tell you about the symbols and meaning in your dream.

Dreams always have meanings. My dreams usually come true, I've learned to deal with them now.

It's not weird that you feel you are in love with this "girl in your dreams". When you dream, your soul actually does leave your body (sometimes). So it is very much possible you two meet, that's why your feelings are so strong, nothing to be afraid of. Go to bed, everything will be fine. When you wake up, tell us about the dream, everything you were doing etc.

Sweet dreams ;)

Not to be funny but, have you ever had premonitions before?
I am not a kook, I just believe in a human's psychic abilities.
It may just be that you have an idea of your perfect mate.
It also may be the fact that this is the person you are destined to be with.
I don't have anything to back this up except many examples of people knowing what their future holds.
Psychics help the police force every day.
I hope you do not think my answer is too strange :-)

you are not having such a serious problem; these things happen; it is normal to dream about her if you cannot stop thinking about her; oh, you are not in love but it is normal to have her in mind if you spend so much time with her; stop worring, you will eventually forget her soon after you realise that you are not having a problem. you must know something: many poets had an ideal image of woman, just like you but when they met their "real" soul mate thei were able to fall in love and to have a strong relationship;
i hope you will take into consideration this answer; be a man and act like one

Check out this book "Yesterday I Cried" by Iyanla Vanzant. She went through something very similar to this.

And don't be scared to go to bed. Remind yourself that you are deserving of rest, and dreams cannot kill people. If they could, it would be in the obituary section all the time. "Mavis Brown, 44, died of a bad dream." Sounds pretty unlikely, doesn't it? It's not gonna get you darlin', that's not how life works.

God Bless!

What do you mean by "she will appear in my dreams and kinda hurt me"? As in she will attack you in your dreams or hurt you emotionally?

Most of the time dreams our subconcious taking on a more concrete form. I wouldn't take it too literally. Maybe it isnt' about a girl. I don't know enough about you, but I recommend you see a therapist because recurring dreams are obviously rooted in your psyche. A therapist and help understand your background, living situation, and ultimately may help you understand the details of this dream.

Rent the dvd Just Like Heaven and watch it!
It is highly unusual to have the kind of repetitive dream that you re having, but don't be afraid of it-go to sleep and see what happens and chill out. When it is time, the universe will reveal what it will.
But enjoy her in your dreams for now.
Let your mind rest.

if you are trying to forget this dream, then immediately upon waking, write the details down, or record them with some type voice recorder, this may also help the dream progress, and maybe have a finale of some sort.
