I am a bastard by the true definition of the word. I am and have always been a fatherless child. I am 28 yrs. old and have never known my father or a father figure in my life.
You, my dear, have a father. I dont know how old you are, but if your mom and dad have been togeather long enough for you to even use a computer I would think that is married enough.
Funny how you can just throw that word around. It is almost humurous. I think it is. I am not offended I just laughed when I read it. Hey if you want to call yourself a bastard then power to ya'. Cheers- from one bastard child to another!!!!

If your parents are not married, then yes, you are a bastard.
It does not make you less of a person and the social stigma that it once had has diminished, but you still are a bastard in the proper context of the word.
BTW, Michaelangelo was a bastard and he was chosen by a Pope to paint the ceiling of St. Peter's. Jesus was possibly a bastard and I'm sure some will want to hang me for saying so.
Bill Clinton is a bastard, parents unmarried.
The word '*****' is also misused frequently. It's a female dog. Nothing more, nothing less.

Sweety, my children are both ‘bastards,’ by such standards. But they are loved and wanted IMMENSELY as the greatest treasures God has given me! I raised them to be proud of who they are. My past mistakes do not dictate who they are. The fact that some still use that stigma to label such people in shame doesn't bother them because it's not what they feel they are or feel about themselves… or me. People may judge harshly, but God knows our hearts!
What's most important is that they love each other and you, don't you think? They are still together. It would have been nice if I had had someone there to help and to love us. Just be happy with who you are, Love.

My father met my mother, he could have been my mother great, great grandfather. He was over sixty, married and my mother was a single mother in poverty, uneducated trying to raise two girls and she was only seventeen. I can't blame my father as he passed away when I was only three years old and just shy away a month from my fourth b-day. I still remember his funeral and if I close my eyes it's like a movie playing right through my mind. I love him dearly and wish I could have had him longer. I've been through so much in life, even in situations where I would be like WTF, but I went through them like safely, I feel my angel it's watching after me. No matter how naughty I am or WTF I've done, he cared so much for me as I only know even though I am a bastard daughter only because society decided to call my birth "that".

You are a gift and a blessing from God. What's important is that you are here. What difference does it make? Your friends don't care so why should you? Don't fall into the " I feel sorry for myself crap." Get a life and move on!

conceived before marriage yes but thats not our fault. We had no control over this. God loves us, we can live a positive life, and definitely shouldn't dwell on this fact.

I'm sorry. Blame your mom or dad. Proud to say I'm not one.
