I took it as losing your sense of self for someone you love. You know, like killing a piece of your self to satisfy your lover.

Welllllllll...the "wings of a butterfly" is a phrase used to refer to a woman's labia minora. So....to "rip out the wings of a butterfly" could refer to losing virginity. Afterall, the song does speak of the blood of their crime or something like that.

Its means to me, Some guy really loves a gurl, and she is just as beautiful as the wings of a butterfly. It likes means to me...its like a love song...only they tried to make it different...I've hear it once...Just the title makes me think...thats its about a gurl.
