I got my eyebrows tattooed in the South Bay, but she didn't do a very good job. So I thought I'd chime in here for a few pieces of advice when you get it done:

* My cosmetician performed the treatment with me LYING DOWN. Well, the problem with that is that your face relaxes differently than when standing/sitting up vertically. The same eyebrows that were perfectly matched while lying down became slightly different when standing up. Gravity made one eyebrow slightly higher than the other and I had this slightly sardonic expression. So make sure they draw the design on your face while you are in an upright position.

* It hurts -- there are a lot of nerve endings in the eyebrow area. I am going to do this again to fix the bad job done before (years ago) because it has significantly faded (and oddly faded in a splotchy way). When I go, I am going to ask if they have any topical anesthesia to put on the skin, like at a dentist.

* It made my eyes water a lot. So don't wear eye makeup.

* Start with a thinner eyebrown design -- you can always add to it later.

* My daughter believes that a flatter eyebrow design looks better than a highly arched one. Her viewpoint is that the highly arched brows looks like you are surprised all the time. I agree with her, but whatever you prefer, you might want to 'eyebrow shop' in magazines, tear out pictures of the eyebrows you want, and bring them with you.

* The color turned out blackish/gray rather than brown. Have them check the color on some other place first.

Good luck!

to be honest w/ you. i would check around and see there work. most shop's have pictures of there work and call around and see which shops do it and see if there listed as " hospital sterilize " which means they use single needles and every thing is steril. most have signs out stating this or in there ad. when you go to the shops. see if you can smell the order of the cleaners they use. if it smells like a sweat shop leave and find a new one.
