No, he committed a crime and needs to pay. He took an oath to first do no harm, killing someone is harm. Second, it was against the law and we must have laws in place and punishment for those that break the law in order to have some order.

No. Kevorkian is in jail because he absolutely refused to stop putting people to death. He was actually arrested and tried several times. Even when it became clear that the law as made by a democratically elected government representing the will of the people in this matter was against him, he kept on. He had many chances to stop and refused. That's why he is in prison.
He absolutely will start putting people to death again if he is released. So no. He should not be given parole. He'll just end up back in prison.
Also, I've recently come to understand that liberals don't actually care about the right to die, so much as the actual putting to death of people. The point is not to die with dignity but rather to get rid of people you no longer want to take care of. This has dramatically changed my view of people like Kevorkian. If that is where they are coming from, then where is Kevorkian coming from. I used to think he was standing up for people's right to choose to die on their own terms. But, now, I suspect that he is manipulating people into killing themelves as part of an evil agenda. It's tough to tell, but he is keeping BAD company with regard to this. It's best he remain in prison just to be safe. He is definitely an extreme danger to society in any event.

No offense but what we all should be asking is. why are people so mad that this kind man is helping to people end there lives? why do these people who hate him not want a terminally ill person to not die with dignty and in very little if any pain.
thank you for your time.
p.s. i would also like to say that i am proud to live in a state (oregon) that still allows people to die on ther own terms. what needs to be done is to stop the federal atonery general from taking away this law. because this law is what makes oregon greate.

If he actually broke the law, he should be in jail. It is sad that he is old and sick and has to live in prison, but maybe he gets good medical care.

There is nothing wrong with helping a person die that is horrible pain and doesn't want to live any more. Maybe Kervorkian is a nut, but at least he is nut that was trying to help people.

yep. he's not a threat to society. he's misguided in his efforts to help others, but otherwise not a menace. he's sick and probably wants to die himself. let the man live out his life the way he sees fit and let God deal with his transgressions

I think he should.
I would almost bet he uses one of his own methods to end his suffering if he is that ill.
