Marilyn Manson is NOT heavy metal, he's industrial. Anyways best heavy metal band of all time is Pantera. Hands down, end of conversation.

best heavy metal band ever is pantera dime was the best guitarist in heavy metal history i also like manson cus hs lyrics are really awsome. i also should also add that guns and roses is not heavy metal their hard rock so there shouldnt even be mentioned in the heavy metal subject slayer metallica kreator and band like that should be catigorized as heavy metal. may i add phil is an asshole and pantera is better than metallica dime would destroy kirk

Iron Maiden has to be the best. Black Sabbath & Judas Priest are right up there with them though, but Iron Maiden is just above them all for true metal greatness.
Metallica & Pantera are great, but they don't stack up with greatness & longevity of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest & Black Sabbath.
