I am a teacher, and I have actually taught 7th grade. It is my favorite grade to teach! As far as helping you prepare, here is what you can do. Go to Yahoo's Search box and type in Academic Standards+ ____________ (the name of your state). On this web site you can find all the academic standards, which are everything that has to be taught, for seventh graders in your state. This way you know what is coming up.
I think that seventh grade sounds a lot older than sixth grade, however if you think about it--- the only difference is three months (June, July, August). So, three months isn't such a huge deal, is it?
I would say to be certain that you are prepared for your classes. Have paper, pen, pencil, folder, and erasers. Find at least one friend to sit with during lunch. And don't worry too much about changing classes and getting lost. Your schedule will have room numbers on it, and the doors are numbered in order so it will all make sense. And really don't worry about your locker getting stuck or not being able to open the lock. Everyone worries about this! You can always ask a friend for help and if they can't get it then just ask a teacher for help. However, I will tell you from experience that most lockers get stuck because they are jam-packed with papers and books -- so keep your locker clean.
Overall, try to enjoy your summer! You still have more than a month of freedom! Enjoy it! Good luck, I hope some of this helped!

You'd do yourself best to relax. You're being paranoid, especially for just going into the 7th grade. If you keep it up at this rate, you'll have a heart attack before you graduate college.

Aside from having periods and such, it's pretty much the same thing as 6th grade, they still sort of hold your hand through it.

Your grades and such don't matter nowhere near as much as they will in high school, so don't feel the need to overachieve, but definitely do the best you can anyway since the better you do in middle school will kickstart you better in high school.

Again, don't stress out. You have the rest of your life after high school to do that.

I am a 7th grade teacher and it is very normal to be anxiously nervous. Some advice I can give is to stay organized. If you are able to purchase or if your school offers an organizer to help you with all of your classes that would help. Stay up to date on your assignments, if for some reason you are not able to, make up the ones you miss. It is helpful to let your teachers know that you care about you grades and being a success. They may have tips for each of their classes to help you. If there is an opportunity to do extra credit for a class try and take advantage of that, sometimes extra credit points can really help make up point when needed. Good luck.

I can't help too much because you didn't indicate why you are so scared. Here is a cover your bases type answer. 1.Take notes in class. 2. Read over your notes each evening. 3. Start studying for tests several days in advance (the more often you go over something, the more likely it will be stored in long term memory). 4. Ask the teacher for help if you find yourself falling behind or not understanding; their job is to teach you. 5. Make friends with someone who is serious about doing well and study together and encourage each other.

I wasn't a good math student, but I could get it with practice. I made friends with the best math students in the class and that helped me tremendously.

if you are moving from an elementary to a jr high, it can be a little scary. there are different classes to go to for each subject. Not to worry, you will get the hang of it all in a week or two, that doens't mean you are going to fail. you should get your class schedule the first day....just pay attention to where things are and take notes in class. it is very different from elem. but remember different is not always bad. dont let the bigger kids intimidate you, they were there just last year. good luck!

by the way, don't try a new hair style right before school starts.

No you won't fail.Heck Im moving to 8th grade and I was a complete moron in 6th grade but amazingly I got really smart over the summer and I have strait A,s and am a honors student.
But the thing is that on the first day of school you need to impress
your teacher and be really nice to them so they will be really nice to you and trust me by doing that things will be a lot easier.
And plus don't be dumb and try to push yourself. Its actually easy
and at the end you will be proud of all that hard work.I am where I am because of hard work and in the future what goes around comes around.

get over it!!!!!! When you get into the world of work what is going to happen, are you still going to be as scared as you are now? You haven't even gone anywhere as yet. What you need to do is have confidence in your self. If you made it through 6th grade, why don't you think you can make it through 7th. Just think of it as one more step of getting out of school and making your own money. That should make you feel a whole lot better. You can do anything you set your mind to do, so if you think your going to fail, there's a surety that you actually might.

Don't be nervous....when I was going into 7th gr. I was really scared.....but after like a week I found that there was really nothing to be scared of. The only really big change is the walking from class to class and worrying about getting there in you 3-5 min. But really, I was super worrried about being late and I still never have been. Don't worry;)

7th grade is the hardest grade of every school year. The best way i can help it to tell you not to worry about your social life because at that age that was all i was woried about and that goes to everyone i know. It really gets in the way of your school work. Don't be nervous everyone else probably feels the same way you do. Take it one day at a time...besides all you need is a 70 to pass. collages don't look at middle school records so don't worry and concentrate the best way you know how.

Most of your fellow 7th graders are going to be nervous also. The best way to prepare is to build up your self confidence and know that everything will be fine. Just make friends, do the work requested and enjoy being in school - you will do great !
