That is normal. Some people say that means that your baby is going to be born with lots of hair but it wasn't true with my daughter. Taking tums usually helps and is completely safe. Congratulations!

I am right there with you!
The problem is our babies are taking up alot of room and pushing stomach jiuces back up our throats.
Not to mention the hormonal changes that occure. They also cause frequent heartburn.
Stay away from foods that are fatty, fried, salty, spicey and high in acidity.
When heartburn strikes you can eat a piece of bread or take a antacid if allowed by your OBGYN Dr.
Congrads and Good Luck!

Unfortunately, there's a million reasons why you get heartburn during pregnancy. The weight of the baby and uterus shift everything else out of place, like people in a crowded elevator. That puts pressure on them; and so your stomach acids back up. Plus your digestive system is slowed down during pregnancy because your body is using so much more energy in the baby growing department. Your body is more sensitive to everything that goes into it.

honey u r real lucky one... did u start to get heartburn now?? I suffered it throughout my pregnancy!
heartburn is another unwanted guest during pregnancy. in the third trimester it wud increase b'coz ur baby is making room for himself :) so it wud squeeze ur stomach and ur digestive tract up so u get these heartburns. Its probably gud idea to take Mylanta or Malox max when u get them. Try eating very small meals/snacks u cud divide what u eat so that u don't kinda over fill ur tummy.
So relax its very very normal and natural to have heartburns. Gud luck

Get some rolaids! If it's really bad your doc will recommend Prilosec. It's very normal and usually means your baby is hairy. Both of mine were and I had unbelieveble heartburn most of the time. Just don't bend over too fast!!

Oh, I hated that when I was pregnant, especially at night. I used Gaviscon liquid and it worked very well. They say (the "old wives", that is) that alot of heartburn during pregnancy means that the baby will be born with alot of hair....they were right, my daughter needed a haircut when she was born..!!

The reson you are getting heartburn is because the weight of your baby and uterus is pushing on your stomach/esophagus. As your baby grows it begins to squeeze on organs. It wll go away after the birth.
