I think Argentina played much better football than Germany and Germany just won by luck. What do you think?

True, Argentina had the control of the ball most of the game....

Mark S, I dont think football teams have good/ bad days...its either you play well or you dont and from what I've seen Germany just has an average team while Argentina really played with class and style.

Absolutely Argentina!
If Germany wins against Italy I will be convinced the game is rigged in Germanys' favor due to it being played in Germany and the Pres. of FIFA is German. Germany is NOT the better team!

I do! The Germans got so lucky it's not even funny.

Instances of German luck:

1. Klose injures Abbondanzieri and gets away with it; no card, no foul. Abbondanzieri specializes in PKs, so having him out of the game is a huge bonus for Team Germany.

2. German fouls Maxi Rodriguez in the box. Should have been in Argentina's favor, maybe even a direct penalty. Instead, the referee gives Maxi a yellow card for having the audacity to trip when a German sticks his foot out in front of him.

3. Argentina's most dangerous players (Tevez, Sorin, Crespo, etc.) are all fouled, but the ref only pays attention when it's them doing the fouling.

And the list goes on.

I totally agree that Argentina are the better team. I thought they'd make it to the final for sure. I blame Pekerman's decisions to take off Riquelme and not allow Messi to play. I think an Argentina Brazil final would have been amazing. Unfortunatley I'm going to have to watch either France or Germany win now.

Argentina were undoubtedly the superior side. Pekerman went wrong with his calculation and ended up dissolving the mid-field. The referee was already playing havoc with the argentine players and to add to their problems they lost Abbondanzieri. He supposedly broke is rib cage and the incident didnt get any attention of the referee. I also felt Maxi was fouled in the box. I feel sorry for all the fans and the team who gave such a superb display throughout this world cup. Ayala, Sorin, Heinze, Coloccini were brilliant. The forwards were not used in optimal formation when it counted. Not bringing on Messi was a sick call but the suicidal move was to bring in Cruz for Aimar. Anyways, hope they will have most of these players for another four years and hopefully I will be able to cheer them all the way to glory then.

I DON'T

In the first 45 minutes not a SINGLE chance for Argentina to score.

Argentina respected Germany way too much, They did not play offensive football. Germany had more clearer chances.

Pekerman didn't do well in starting with Gonzalez, Cambiasso was a much better choice ...and Cruz??? having Messi on the bench?

maybe argentina would have won if it weren't for the home support and grit of the germans. it was pretty close...a combination of Pekerman's horrible tactics and bad luck sealed it for argentina. but the germans kept their cool, the fact that Klose brought germany back from the brink in the 80th minute when things were looking diifficult for them and a look at the penalty shoot out proves that. All four strikers knew exactly what they were doing, unlike Ayala and Cambiasso.

i'm German too and that i admit that Argentina is a fabulous crew. yet there is not any predicting what our crew can do. Their approaches are impressive and their defence (extremely our defenders) is incredibly top notch, notwithstanding our goalkeeper would properly be garbage each from time to time xD i'm nevertheless very proud. this is going to reveal out to be genuinely a variety of classic suits. there's a 70% chance that Argentina may win, yet that would not propose that i'll teach my back hostile to my usa. they have performed very well so a options. i am going to help them to the perfect ninety minutes (and previous commonplace time too) no matter if or not they win it or no longer. All i am going to assert now is, pass GERMANY!
