Before cleaning your face, turn the hot water on in the sink. Put a large towel over your head and then put your face over the sink. Make sure there aren't any openings in the towel over the sink, so that the steam can't escape. Let it (steam, not hot water) hit your face for as long as you can handle it and then quickly wash your face.
The steam opens your pores. Just try not to use too many things, because that will contribute to the clogging of the pores.
Cetaphil is what I use and it works very good. Also, do a search for Tea Tree Oil ... It is very good for the skin.

You might try a mask that has clay in it, or if you can find white clay powder from France (it is the best and you just add a little water to it to make a paste, then let it dry on your face and wash it off) it works very well for cleaning pores. You can use it daily, then use it less when your pores clear up.

Do you drink the recommended daily intake of Water and does your water contain minerals (does it have an oder, does it stain your clothing?) also what do you eat? Pimples, black heads, etc., come from inside the skin, so cleaning and rubbing the skin with a wash rag and soap just gets rid of them faster, it doesn't "keep them away."

I had acne for years when my doctor perscribed "doxycycline". It is an antibiotic capsule which I take daily and only cost me $2.65 a month before insurance. My face never turned red, flakey or peeled, It hasn't made me sensitive to the sun, and it works! I'm on a low dose and only take one capsule every morning.
