How much should a live in nanny expect in pay above benefits?

Question

She would have her own room furnished wrought iron queen bed. Share a bath with 4 yr old twins.
she would do laundry, clean the kitchen, and clean the bathroom she shares with the twins. she would feed the children breakfast and get them to school.

In the end she would be working about 10 to 15 hours a week. The rest of the week would be hers to do what she wills provided of course nothing that would reflect badly on my household, (nothing illegal or that would bring negative influence to my children)

phone, internet, and liberal access to a car
Pretty much everything else I would do. short of babysitting once every week or two as work demands. i am not looking for someone to raise my children, rather some help so that neither they nor my career suffers.

How much is this worth when included with a large home in gated military community 15 minute walk from the beach with many more amenities???

If I were a nanny I'd think that was enough because along with pay (not knowing what it is and hoping there is some sort of medical/dental plan) I would think that would be enough. You would have to be single though this way they won't have any other interest or commitments.

i know that situation i au paired in the states for 2 years in chicago... you must pay the minimum weekly wage allowed which is $139.05 no matter how many hours she is doing, you must also provide free room and board, bathroom, 2 weeks paid holiday per year plus 5 sick days, she must be able to go to school if she wants and you have to pay up to $500, anything more and she must pay for it. why dont you go and look at a website, either aupaircare.com or culturalcare.com and check it out. hope that helps.\

I used to be a male nanny for these rich Jewish people my mom worked for.They payed me 2 dolor's an hour above minimal wage. I lived there Monday though Friday with her and her husband & 4 sons - No one is as good with childern as i am.Pay her 7 an hour.

well ask yourself how much would you want to be paid a week for watching your children, its a hard dam job as you know , plus she has to be a house cleaner , so ok basicly she has to be a serrogate wife and mother . take everything into concideration and how much would you want to be paid for the same job. thats my answer

i woudlnt be able to do it im not good with kids i had to babysit my moms friends kids and she has 6 adopted kids and a baby i wanted to sit there and cry because it was too much n i was there for 2 hrs.....so take my gfs advice...i cudnt do it being around kids drive me crazy....i guess i havent reached that stage where i love them yet lol
