It's not America the terrorists hate; it's American foreign policy. It's what the United States has done to the world in the past half century -- all the violence, the bombings, the depleted uranium, the cluster bombs, the assassinations, the promotion of torture, the overthrow of governments, and more. The terrorists -- whatever else they might be -- are also rational human beings; which is to say that in their own minds they have a rational justification for their actions. Most terrorists are people deeply concerned by what they see as social, political or religious injustice and hypocrisy, and the immediate grounds for their terrorism is often retaliation for an action of the United States.
If I were the president, I could stop terrorist attacks against the United States in a few days. Permanently. I would first apologize to all the widows and orphans, the tortured and impoverished, and all the many millions of other victims of American imperialism. Then I would announce, in all sincerity, to every corner of the world, that America's global interventions have come to an end, and inform Israel that it is no longer the 51st state of the USA but now -- oddly enough -- a foreign country. I would then reduce the military budget by at least 90% and use the savings to pay reparations to the victims. There would be more than enough money. One year's military budget of 330 billion dollars is equal to more than $18,000 an hour for every hour since Jesus Christ was born. That's what I'd do on my first three days in the White House. On the fourth day, I'd be assassinated.

The question is who targeted America? Ask yourself this, why are wars never on American soil? Then ask yourself this, why is it that we are fighting the exact same war that we fought when George Bush, Sr. was in office? The truth is that this whole "war" thing is about money. Money of oil, money of tax payers, money of people thinking that they are giving for a good cause, but are simply innocently naive. George Bush and the Bush family has had a long on going relationship with the Binladen family, if you haven't noticed every time Bush's approval rate drops Binladen comes out with a "scary" tape that drives Americas approval of an ongoing "war" back up. The truth is there are only two classes, and its not Democrats and Republicans, it Congress and the rest of the world. Congress run the ****, lie to us, make us believe in **** that is simply the total opposite, while making all the money (hence the reason why no congress man has ever been to war, nor had a family member in war). The rest of the world buries there dead children, husbands, uncles, who died for what they "believed" in. When we realize that we are all the same, there will be no more wars.

Muslims are not peaceful people, like they claim to be. Don't believe that its only the "radical extremists" that are behind the terrorism that is going on worldwide. If you take a closer look you will the the muslim expansionism happening in several countries around the world. Indonesia was not always a muslim nation. 30 million chinese were killed there when muslims took it over by force. Muslims have not been as successful in other places, thank God, like the Philippines, and Thailand. They are doing better in Africa because the U.N. has for the most part ignored the genocide going on in places like Darfur.

Why was the U.S. targeted? Because we support Israel, of course. Bin Laden doesnt want Americans in the Middle East at all, and he doesnt want US support of Zion. He wants us out so first they can kill all Israelis, and second so we wont be in as good a position to stop their movements.

Hey, they are just following what the Quran says. It says convert all to Islam, and kill the ones that refuse. Kill, rape, enslave...etc. This is a holy war, no matter what Bush says.

Unites States like to control countries. They seem to want to control the world. What do terrosists want? POWER. What does USA have? The super power. This is why most the terrorist like to target them. Because by bringing down the superpower, they have one step in getting the power.

Americans "western culture" is haram basically. Haram means "evil" in arabic. The western society with our cultures and free will are evil in the minds of others. Americas has really done nothing wrong to Saddam or any militant troops prior to 9-11. Actually the US supplied over 300 million to Saddam to help his war with Iran.

We were targeted because of our free society, and our determination to tell the rest of the world how to live their lives. Mostly it is due to a difference of religous belief. These extremists have taken the Muslim religion and used it as a basis for hate and jihad (holy war) to destroy and enslave all non-believers (infidels). Our prosperity is seen as a sign of arrogance, and our freedom is seen as a sign of our disobedience to a higher power. We arre now and always will be hated due to our free nation and tolerant society. We are targets because we are unique in the world.
