I would say a Portuguese is a person from Portugal. Definitely distinct from Spanish, so I wouldnt say "hiSPANIc". And not South American or Brazillian, you are looking in the wrong area of the map. Although they speak Portugese in Brazil. Portugal along w/ Spain is on the Iberian peninsula so you could say "iberian" as well. You could say European also.
