I work in a nursing home. My boss got fired twice. She was caught steeling food from the residents I mean frozen food that stock had came in. She also chreats her employee's realy bad. I mean by that is she harrasses them. And also keeps on with mental abuseing her employee's. My brother also works with me. He is a cook. She tells him by yelling at him that he is not doing a good job. That the residents don't like your cooking. She screams at him. And the residents tells my brother they love his cooking to keep it up. My brother went to the administrater about it. But, she gets fired and she keeps coming back to the job. My question to you all is this. We had contact our Union rep. We told her what was going on and my boss has not changed her attitude. The union was realy upset about how she is chreating her employee's. You think the union can help get rid of my boss for good. Please give some advice. If she don't get fired her employees are going to quit.

She's either romantically involved with someone at the top or she has some kind of information that she is threatening to leak if she is not allowed to come back. I have been inside hundreds of companies and you would be surprised how rampant emotional abuse is in the workplace. If things don't change, it may be better for you to find another job. Those kind of people NEVER get better and companies lose great employees all the time because of one bad apple. Good luck to you and your brother.

Edited to add: You could probably all go together to file a complaint with the EEOC or contact the Department of Labor.

She keeps getting hired back because she is doing something right -- probably financially. All you and your brother think about is being good to the patients. Don't get me wrong, that's very very important. But the owners of the nursing home consider it a business proposition. Your boss helps them make money, and that's what counts to them. They probably "fire" her as a sop to the other employees and residents. But she and the owners probably consider it as vacation time. Then they bring her back so she can keep making money for them. If you're that miserable, get another job. The union obviously isn't going to help you. Just suck it up and move on. No job is worth getting ulcers over.

First of all the Union is not going to do anything, They are there just to get a check every week. You will be better off complaining to your dog. Try taking a tape recording device to work and let your boss know that she is going to be tape recorded with her permision. Get yourself an attourney. Bring a lawsuit of mental and verbal abuse against your company. Also have some of those people sign a patission stating that they are aware and agree that this abuse is constant and complaints are falling on deaf ears.

Have each employee document every negative encounter with this person in WRITING! Over a period of time, those records will bite her in the a**. The only way to get rid of an abusive supervisor is to document, document, DOCUMENT! If you all stick together, you will prevail, but it might take a few months of documentation to build a convicing case against this person.

Don't give up. Eventually, you will prevail.

go 2 the head person over the boss and get other employee's 2 write a petition against her so she will not be able 2 get her job back. The patients deserve better, and the other employee's do 2 see u can take the first step and be yourself see god look down on her or him who do his children wrong u her or him will reap what you sow. LET GOD TAKE THE UPPER HANDLE ON THIS, YOU JUST BE STRONG AND PRAY! MAY GOD BLESS YOU.THANKS .

boy she must have a trick up her sleeve or she is involved with some one higher up... i do not know what to do in a case like this.. to bad you can not get a recording of her yelling at people.. that would help.. also draw up a petition and have all the employees she has harrassed sign it.. then take this to your big boss.. you might want to also consult a lawyer about this too..just to see what kind of advice he can give you,,,

When somebody exceeds his/her 'limit' of authority then you have to find the inner or hidden strength of his/her audacious acts. Meaning, how he/she is 'managing' to get his/her job back after two dismissals, if you go for in-depth investigation then you may get answer to your question by way of surprise finding of involvement of immoral relationship or kick-back.

In a rare and remote case, if she is the ‘victim’ in your stated case then she may have got the job fighting back legally. So, there can be so many reasons why she is getting back her lost job.

It's a union. And by that I mean it's the mafia. Tell them she is an embarrassment to the union. They will, ahhh....take care of it.
