When I was a kid, this girl in summer camp said to me, "You're Mexican." Nothing wrong with what she said, it's true, but it's the in which she said it, as if a Mexican is disgusting. She also said it with disgust all over her face. This person also harrassed my best friend in the same way, "You're a Black dog!" We snitched on her and she got sent home.

Many moons ago, a family member hated the choice I made when I decided to date a Black man. I got HARRASSED every day big time!!! It wasn't because of my own race, but because of his race. This happened again when I decided to date another Black guy, I got harrassed and called n.i.g.g.e.r. lover quite often.

My present fiance is Muslim and Arab, and for the most part I haven't heard anything nasty from other people. However, I did hear a few things here and there. Again, it's so ugly, and I wish people would leave that to me and not decide that my man is their problem!

Other than that, nope, can't say that I've experienced it. NO WAIT!!! Another family member would call me a dirty Mexican, when SHE HERSELF was a Mexican! She was much older than I, and very abusive (no, not mom), and would tell me ugly stuff, like "I'm gonna get your dad deported!" (He's legal btw, legal since day 1.) She always wanted me to call myself Didi instead of Dolores, "So that the kids in school won't know you're a Mexican." She ALWAYS had something bad to say about Mexicans. She claimed not to be one, "I'm Navajo and French." She instilled a lot of shame in me for being what I am. This happened when I was little, but I'm much older now (late 30s) and don't feel shame at all anymore, of course.

I haven't thought about that for so long!

I'm a black Latina i've experienced it on all levels my whole life, it's hard to ask "by what ppl" b/c unfortunately some of them were Latinos themselves but other than that pretty much white ppl, and a few middle eastern ppl have overtly been racist toward me also from my experience most non white ppl i know have felt it so to a lot of ppl this question is a little redundant

North Americans.

By eliminating the native indian races or
by moving them into their own camps and converting them
to christianity is a huge example of racism.

It is a shame that this has happened in the world
in the first world countries.

To have done this to the natives of this land, who have
totally lost their identity, their religion and their way of
life is an atrocity that is beyond reason.

What a shame.

Strange but true. Almost 20 years ago I won a dance contest at the enlisted club. I'm white, there were black guys in the contest too. White guys I knew were teasing me all the time, and the black guys later were mocking me like I could show them my moves then join their "side". One black guy gave me a "black power" poster for christmas. Someone (white i assume) put a watermelon on my bunk.

I've experienced alot of racism at my middle school. I went to a school that was dominated by hispanics. I was always called Mulan, and Ching chang Chong girl.. Everyone made fun of my eyes, looked at me when we were learning history of China in History class (Not Chinese, Korean), etc. When people found out I was Korean, they started yelling at me about North Korea.. terrorists, etc. I didn't know, I wasn't NKorean.. It was pretty sucky really, I've never done anything to them at all, infact, I was really really quiet in middle school, I guess they just liked making fun of me because I was looked abit different. It really made me feel unwelcomed and I started to be ashamed of my ethnicity. And I did, I started acting abit differently, white-washed. Tried to forget about the language, the heritage, etc. I partially blame myself for letting it affect me so much. But I was young, and knew no better I guess. It was just a simple thing, but 4 years there, It really changed me.

Highschool, it's way better.. There are still some rude comments made.. Not directly toward me, but to another individual. One time I was walking to PE with our class and these girls started screaming at an old Chinese man. This girl suddenly shouted "Move your car you f***ing chink!" Then she turned around and apologized to me.. But still, I think it's very offensive even though it's not directed at me.. Even if it's not directed at my race. Racial slurs piss me off to no end. I doubt racism will end, but hopefully it subsides.. No one should be discrimated for who they are.

most of my life. In school bullied by black girls, but I fight back so they stopped bothering me. When go to interviews, black and hispanic people get jobs, not me( I.m white) even though I have the education and experience. I used to work in Macy's, did a good job, even manager said so, however, was never promoted, but black and mostly hispanic and muslim people were, even the ones who just started working there. Have many black male friends, when walk on the street with them, black women give me the look like they want to kill me. Got horrible services by black waitresses when with my black male friends in restaurants, the list goes on and on.........

im hispanic --spanish/french-- but don't really look it. i get dirty looks and get talked about mainly by hispanic women, until i say something to them in spanish. also im married to a vietnamese man and asian women give me the evil eye like if i stole one of their guys like if there is a shortage or something

many companies feel they have to fill a quota by hiring minorities. but also many minorities STILL play the race card. even if they are less qualified than another person to do the same job. so it might be easier to hire them then get a bad name

Yeah, in the Army, with my black roommate's black friends. One of them said, '*****, you crazy'. So I said, 'I ain't no *****' ('cause I wasn't raised to use that word). So he says, 'What, you think I am?' And then the racial schit hit the fan. Here I am, the only white guy in a room full of drunk blacks, jumpin' my schit for not accepting the 'compliment' of being called *****.

If you thought ****** were the only ones who could tap dance...you should have heard me then. They started calling me 'cracker' after that.
