Can people retrieve documents that were deleted long ago or emails that were sent long long ago?

Once a document as been removed from the recycle (or deleted without first going into the bin) the spot it occupied on the hard drive is marked as free space, and the next file you save will go over the top of where that document use to be. So there is no practical way to retrieve an old document if something has been saved since the document was deleted.

pretty sure you can. you're computer is like a tape recorder of everything you do. you can't hide anything on it. Where you go, what you see. if somebody wants to know, then they can figure it out.
