I think they will, Chicago has the cap space, they are in desperate need of a defensive center, and Detroit wants to free cap space for Bonzi.

The Pistons are reportedly offering 12-14 million, while Chicago can try and lure him in with 15-17 million- so they have the upper hand in the money market...the question is does Ben Wallace want to join a new team and fill his pockets a litte fatter, or stick with the team he has played and grown with for the past 6 years. It is hard to see him leaving Detroit, I think he will stay ultimately because of guys like Chauncey Billups, Sheed & Rip Hamilton. But if he does decide to move on..Chicago is the most likely place for him to go as they are one of the only teams with the cap space to sign him that are a playoff team already. I have heard rumors of a possible sign & trade where Detroit would sign Wallace and trade him to Chicago for Tyson Chandler- but I wouldn't expect that to happen- we'll have to wait and see I guess... A deal can't be reached until July 12th but negototians are ongoing right now- so keep your fingers crossed if your a bulls fan

ESPN.com is reporting (7/3/06) that Ben Wallace has agreed to leave the Pistons and join the Bulls for something around 4 years, 52 million.

Goodbye Detroit.

wow...if any of u actually watched espn and read more then a half article from the sun-times maybe you'd know what you're talking about. saturday was the first day that negotiating between free agents and teams was permitted, and ben wallace said, I appreciate everything Detroit did for me and my family,". Obviously he is trying to send the message of, yes im leaving. Also, the bulls are willing to give him 11 million more than the Pistons...let me repeat, ELEVEN MILLION. His comments on that are, "This is just one of those things. When you get a chance to sign a deal of a lifetime, it's tough to let it go." So please, all you stupid Detroit Pistons fans who think Wallace loves your city, he doesn't. And now he has a bigger oppertunity, with a whole lot more money. Thank you.

They just drafted Tyrus Thomas who is a younger, more athletic, more gifted offensively big man, but he is less a strong version of Wallace. This tells me that Wallace probably will not sign there because the Bulls will not want him bad enough. Joel Pryzbilla is more likely to be signed by Chicago. He is this young 7-3 white American guy who actually has some serious game on D and on the boards.

Ben in chicago? Well, Big Ben's gonna stay with Pistons maybe 5 years. That's the reason why they traded Maurice Evans to Lakers to have more room for Big Ben's salary.
