Sometimes thinking is so easy for some people, that your unconscious does it for you (any activity can become automatic)
You probably felt guilty because you see others engaged in a process of 'thinking' to arrive at answers and to feel normal (which is a common need), you try to emulate that behavior. But, it doesn't yield the results you want, because the process blocks the innate ability you already have. I read something once. "The process of 'wanting' a thing pushes it away. You have to know you already possess it. Then, you do.'

You mean, you seem to have a really large ego and, at the same time, really low self-esteem? I was just thinking this about myself the other day. I think maybe it has something to do with our thinking we're too good for everyone, therefore setting ourselves apart from other people. When we feel separate from others, we begin to feel lonely and wonder why no one wants us around, sad and scared that we're so different that no one will like us. In reality, it's mostly our own imaginations that bring on the situation.
