Money. They think all Americans are rich.
It's not easy for them to get out even after they marry an American.
A friend married a girl in China two years ago and she has to jump through hoops to get a visa. She has to get approved by the police at every town or city where she worked. She's an electrical engineer and has spent years working different construction sites all over China.
At least that's what she's telling him. He keeps sending money.

I can't understand why any women want to marry any men.
Marriage is a social convention foisted upon humans for the sake of the tribe.

higher social status. in asia, if you marry a white guy, people will look up on you. and your children will be the next tv star in asia.

in chinese's eyes, peoples from europeans or maybe americans
are not intresting( not all) for them.
they jus wun money o maybe change their lifestyle.
