I work with women and only have female friends. I'd like to make some male friends, but just to be pals, as I'm already in a relationship.

How do I go about it without either making them think I want an affair, or making them think I'm trying to be friends with their wives or girlfriends?

I don't think I could meet them with my husband as men find him quite intimidating. He's not large, but he's quite muscular and he can get a scary look in his eyes. I think he'd frighten them off, even if their intentions were platonic.

Try getting involved in volunteer work where there is a good mix of both sexes, Habitat for Humanity would be a good one. Lots of guys helping build homes....

1. Meet the new friend(s) WITH your significant other.
2. Let the friend(s) know that's ALL you want - FRIENDSHIP!
3. Remember some gays are bisexual, so don't assume you're safe nust because they're gay.
