I think he just means that he was high, literally ... doped up somehow ... maybe not but his name is James BLUNT... I like the edited version better

i am not really sure but i know that it is meant to be a sad love song, saying it was love at first sight and he never got to see her again but i really dont have an answer for your question

If you don't like it saying "******* high", listen to the radio version. they changed the word to "flying high".

well, there's a clean version which says "flying high"
but i guess he wrote that to express his sexual feelings..
