Brainwashing as an initiatory activity is a violation of basic human rights. The right for a human being to have a platform for liberty and pursuit of happiness. Brainwashing destroys that platform and eliminates any possibility for freedom. However, if most of these prisoners are already the victims of extremist brainwashing and indoctrination, it is not only good for THEM to brainwash them out of it, but its self-defense for every innocent citizen in our nation and the world to eliminate the destructive teachings of their fundamentalist culture. We either brainwash them, or brainwash ourselves to complacency, ignorant of the dangers we face. (In a free country, there are dangers to be dealt with, and risks to be taken to keep that freedom.)

good question!! The US has to live up to everyone else's standards in the "civilized" world,Pretty much tying our military's hands behind their backs,While the rest of the world's militaries get to practice effective techniques and get results while our's falters,Because of a lack of backbone by our government.

If I had my way they would not be allowed to Pray unless it was to Yahweh God and Christ our Lord.
They would have to work their butss off whenever it was time to pray to Allah and they would have no Koran.

The question is not if we can do it; it's if we should do it. Ethics plays a big part in it.
