talent. its mainly just a preference. ther is no fact why rock is better. however... opinions thats a whole different story. rock has a different sound. it can be mainstream yet underground at the same time. it can be new [and shitty] or old [and awesome] rock has been there since our parents were born and its not going anywhere. thers just something you get from seeing your favorite band do 3 encores as you scream asking for more. and the sound is just amazing. a couple of instruments working together can create so many different and awesoem sounds. with the guitars screaming out awesome tunes, basses hammering out a riff and a set pumping out the beats, dam thers nothing better in the world. the least important member of a rock band is the singer. you can survive without a singer, and the frontman gets too much attention anayway. the guitarist/bassist/drummer took years of practice patience and hell mastering their art. a good voice is mainly something youre born with, but you still have to train if you want to be really good. rock is a huge part of my life... i cant imagine life without music. btw that new **** like fall out boy and the killers- AINT ROCK! neither is christian rock. rock is about doing what you want when you want it with nothing holding you back and having fun the whole time. like running down the street in your underwear for a dollar[ok bad example but u get it.]. it makes no sense but somewhere you know its just right.

i love quite in many circumstances older stuff from 50's to 70's, yet some stuff from earlier and after. i respect the Who, Cream (And Clapton's different distinct artwork), the Yardbirds, The Kinks, Deep pink, The Jimi Hendrix adventure, and far of different bands like that from that prevalent time. I also like 50's rock n roll like Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran, Bo Diddley, pal Holly, ect. type sensible i love; rock n roll, classic rock, blues rock, surf rock, puppy rocks, British invasion, possibly somewhat prog rock, and somewhat complicated rock. All quite in many circumstances stuff between the 50's to 70's. believe me, once you're weird and wonderful then I belong in a psychological company (-;

it has a mean guitar sound you don't hear in any other music it pounds makes you feel like just letting loose and going crazy but at the same time it can take that feeling and bring you to your knees with songs like every rose-poison heaven- warrant i remeber you-skid row this love - pantera the ballads are just as moving as the heavy $hit

i like rock because it has the possibility of infinite types of music... as the era goes by new forms of rock are popular.. it is so versital so that you can have soft rocl and then speed metal...though most bands themselves don't change all that much they have the ability to do something new and original every albuma and most bands have their own sound that no other band can do... plus i'm white so i can't stand rap or jazz or any of that bullshit and i'm from up north so country just gets annoying and irritating

Rock music is done by true musicians. They play instruments and sing as well, compared to those who uses recorded music to sing to. The music is real and more meaningful.
