Because the vast majority of them stare us up and down like we're a piece of meat. Don't get me wrong, theres nice one too!

Hello I am a Truck Driver, yes some of us are pervs, and some smell and some even are road hogs, but so does the guy next door, I would bet you know someone that doesn't drive a truck that fits the above also, I have seen so much I should write a book about the weird things I have seen people do on the road! We are just regular men, Oh yaw and women too (10%) just doing a very hard job, say after we driver that load of "Big Mama" Panty hose or a truck load of "Sunny D" to Indianapolis say 3000 mile then we get to unload it by hand in some cases truck drivers do it all and need a break its a tough life/style bad weather or good, you have the things you need and want because a truck driver was doing his job. And we also make the best Hubbys and boyfriends come home for 2 to 3 days a month throw the pay check on the table go to sleep for 20 hours, play with the kid for 2 and get ready to go back to work, so you can do what ever your little heart feels like doing.

Yes, some truckers are pervs. But aren't most guys. I think it has to do with them being gone all the time. It puts strain on a relationship. Especially if they have kids. The wife would feel like she had no help raising the kids.
I know that from experience because my dad is a trucker. At the moment, he does not go out of the state. He's home every night. However, growing up it could have been up to week and a half to 2 weeks between his visits with us. The perks of the job was we did get to travel with him from time to time. My first road trip was when I was a baby. My parents placed my pumpkin seat on the hump in the middle of the 2 seats and my older brothers sat in the sleeper of the truck. We went to Chicago.
By the way, I have a great respect for truck drivers. Our country could not run without them because everything you own, was hauled at one point or another by a trucker.

Sometimes because they don't stop and shower enough. Other times because they aren't very talkative because they are used to sitting by themselves and being quiet for hours at a time. Sometimes it is because they are out of shape.
But not all women dislike all truck drivers. If a truck driver dressed nicely and treated a woman like gold, she wouldn't care what he did for a living. Truck driving is a good occupation, a person can be a good provider as a truck driver.

I don't think all women hate them. However, there are prejudices out there regarding them. Truck drivers are known flirts and have been known to "cheat" while on the road. It's hard to have/keep a relationship when you're not home a lot.
You have to understand that most women have had some type of exposure to a truck driver who hit on her, while wearing a ring.

Who says they do? Umm, just pointing smthing out, it's pretty scary to be the only lady in a truck stop with a bunch of big, strong guys around at night. Ya, pretty frightening. But its scary to be out alone at night period sometimes.

My guess would be that they both tend to be road hogs... Literally on the road and off, in essence-- both think they know it all...
