By the sounds of it, you need more self confidence. I know it's easier said than done. If you like this guy, go for it, the worst he can say is no. You aren't an ugly young lady. And yes, fit guys do go for "plus" size women no matter what anyone says. I work in a hotel and I see a lot of couples like that so don't fret. Talk to him, see what he says, make sure he's not with anyone, etc. before asking him out. Start out small, lunch, etc. Good Luck!
