I don't know of a website. But I have rural acreage and I was thinking of building an out-house; so I've asked older people who still remember them; and I've called state parks that use them to ask them.

First, I don't know which country or state/province you're in; but you might want to check any relevant laws. For example, it may be illegal to put an out-house too close to your property-line. You also don't want to put it too close to your water-well. My dad said they used to pour lime into the out-house to keep down the odor. He said it didn't really smell too bad until the sewage started to get close to the top. Then they'd dig a new out-house. Also, he said they used to pour a concrete ring around the hold onto which they'd build the out-house. He said that's because the last thing you want is to fall in!

Hope this might be helpful. NOte: I haven't built an out-house because I found out we have free dump-stations for RV's to dump their sewage. So I decided to get a portable tank from an RV-parts-store and go that route. I'm going to get an RV commode (that flushes with water) to go with it. It will be simple and cost under $200 (US).

Dig a hole and make a hole to sit on over the hole in the ground. Privy walls are good and put a marker in there for postings on the walls. Put a web cam in there and call it your place of duty.
