Zidane has the French nationality but is of Kabyle origine, a region in Algeria. He was born in Marseilles, France.
At the moment ALL French will say he's the best.
But what about Eusebio, Pele, Cruyff and Maradona?

Zidan is simply a maestro and all of a france should be proud of him because he brought fame to France. Ribery is not Zidan a remainder tothe french who were quick to dismiss him before this world cup. Zidan has done some amazing feats inhis soccer career, and will be spoken among legends of soccer.

Yes, he is of Arabic origin, but a French citizen, and it is not like PODOLSKY or KLOSE in Germany who were given the citizenship in exchange for money cause the Germans do not have enough good players to make a whole selection!!!
He was raised in France so he is a true French man... as well as the black players (for that silly guy who commented on that: a citizenship has nothing to do with the colour of your skin or where your parents came from, your nation is where you´ve been raised and where you share the culture and language... have u ever been to Paris? Guess not... it is full of people of African or Arabic origin, my friend!)
