I ordered a text book for one of my grad school classes and it was accidentally delivered to the wrong P.O. Box ( not even their house) It has been over a month and they still haven't returned it - I don't even know if I can get a refund at this point (80 bucks)...what should I do? Is this considered mail fraud? It was addressed to me but had the wrong P.O. box on it ( I put my old box #, not my new one)

This is not mail fraud. You were not ripped off by anybody, since you were the one that put the wrong PO Box on the address.

So, no one "accidentally" delivered it to the wrong POB, since that's the address you gave.

You should contact your local post office or talk to your carrier, though. Since it did have your name on it, even though the address was wrong. It isn't mail fraud, but it is a crime if someone took the package, even though it didn't belong to them. It's a crime to tamper with mail or take someone else's mail.

Your local PO should be able to help you.

No, mail fraud is when somebody collects your package that has been properly addressed to YOU (at the right box number or address) and then does not hand it over to you.

I would make a complaint at the Post Office.

Get your credit card to fraud the purchase and tell the companies that the mail went to the wrong address and get another book.

actually, there may not be much that you can do. If I am not mistaken, a package delivered to your home that you didnt order does NOT have to be returned nor paid for. Most people would return it or give it to the person it is adressed to but they dont have to. If you didnt physically go into another persons mailbox, its not illegal.......... immoral ........ but not illegal

Yes. File a complaint (yellow form) at your local post office.
