Here's one I've used for years, 20 Mule Team Borax laundry soap, put the dry soap in one of the ketchup squeeze bottles that you can buy at the dollar stores, apply around baseboards, kitchen cabinets any where you see the ants. Leave it lay for a few days and the ants will carry it back to their nest and it will kill them, vacuum up any remaining laundry soap when you no longer see any signs of the ants, and use the rest of the laundry soap to do your laundry.......my grandmother also used this remedy.

Inside the house -- use Terro. You can get it at Wal-Mart. The first day, maybe two, there will be more ants, but that is not a bad thing. They will feed on the Terro and take it back to the colony. In the yard, you need a mixture of borax, sugar, and flour. You can make dough balls if the infestation is really bad. You can also mix borax with a little sugar and place it directly around the ant hills. The ants pick the borax up on their bodies when they go after the sugar. The borax kills them, but not immediately. It sticks to them, and they carry it back to their colony.

You must kill the queen to kill the ants, so use something that the ants will carry back to the nest.

The termeric is a good repellent of the ants. You may sprinkle some termeric powder around the hole of the ants, if you can find, otherwise near the entry from where these insects enter your house. you can sprinke the solution of the termeric powder at the places where they usually try to gather. The termeric powder is harmless, while other chemicals or poisons are harmful if they get sprinkled at the utensils or the eatables.

Ants don't like dryer (fabric softener) sheets. Also Cayenne pepper or crushed chilli pepper sprinkled over doorways and window ledges.

Whenever I've had ants I use a liquid poison I buy in a little bottle and put it out in beer caps all over the place where my pets can't get to them. The ants carry it back to the "nest" to feed others and eventually the colony dies.

What you have are called "ghost ants"
What works like magic is Tarro, which you can buy at Home Depot or Lowes.
You can also wipe down your counters with white vinegar to keep them off.

Hello, I have heard of two remedies for ants. One is Boric Acid, u can get it in a drugstore.. just sprinkle it where the ants go, window sills, doorways, etc. also black pepper.. use the same way. I know the boric acid works cuz when we had ants yrs. back, the boric acid did the trick! good luck!
