Quite a few are DOLLS -- properly dressed up in western costuming, make up, etc. GREAT.
BUT==TOO many over do it with dying their hair odd colours, over fashioned clothing, etc.
Then they just look cheap.

I find most of them look adorable, especially with their over-the-top fashion and hair.
The Japanese don't all look cute, though, just like not all germans are blond, blue-eyed and wears leaderhosen, or african-americans all have skin darker than the night and are tall and big shouldered. There's so many differences within every stereotype and group of people, so it ends up being up to the person whether they decide whether or not someone is cute. =P

I'm Japanese. A lot of people say i'm pretty, but i think it's only because i'm asian, not because i have a pretty face.
