It seems to me my your comments that you have not investigated the matter thouroughly.

NASA has contributed an astounding amount to the lives of you and I both. NASA actually receives very little funding for what they do, and I'm sorry to say that a lot of money is wasted but not on what they do as much as how they do it.

Politicians often try to get their home states involved in NASA projects to bring in commerce and create jobs as the expense of the projects as a whole...and unfortunatly, the politicians have more clout than the engineers and other people within NASA and their affiliates, who ought to be listened to more. This is a massive problem with the military as well. As a result, you have rocket building facilities no where near the place the rockets are actually launched, and then a ship or train has to be specially constructed to get the rocket to the launc pad. This is one of the many reasons the Challenger blew up. An O ring that didn't need to exist failed. The O ring was there because the solid rocket booster was manufactured in sections so it could be shipped from a different state.

Because we are stuck in the middle with nowhere to go.

The moon? Been there, done that.

Mars? Would require a MASSIVE amount of money and energy that we don't have the political will to spend.

And, we certainly don't want to just end the space program. Too many people, like me, remember the pride we had in it as a kid.

So, for now, we just screw around with the same old, same old until something happens to let us take the next step..

Radio waves are electromagnetic ability, an same as mild. The earth's ecosystem absorbs and diffracts diverse frequencies (imagine shades) in diverse methods. area communications usually works on VHF, UHF or Microwave frequencies. The small wavelength of those potential that is accessible to make extreme benefit antennas at actual looking sizes - imagine of television aerials and Sat television dishes. those artwork with radio in a similar thanks to a reflector telescope with mild, the curved floor focusing or concentrating a weak signal to some extent or sending it out like a spotlight beam. The monster dish antenna used by utilizing area floor stations boost the incoming alerts by utilizing actually thousands of thousands of circumstances. the different large difference between floor and area communications is that there is not any longer something contained in the way - the Earth's ecosystem thins out straight away over some miles upwards, then there is not any longer something to soak up the signal, that is truly 'Line of Sight' that is accessible to communicate with an section craft in low Earth orbit utilizing walkie talkie type radios - distinct the area Station astronauts have had beginner (Ham) Radio licences, and characteristic classes chatting with different Amateurs on the floor. i have finished it with only a hand held VHF radio. The satellite tv for pc television equipment works utilizing satellites in extreme 'synchronous' orbits, about 25,000 miles up. The transmitters are fairly low capacity (in many circumstances 50W if I undergo in ideas proper), yet will be received on the floor with only a small dish aerial. an same frequency and capacity in the international would have a usable kind of very few miles, with the aid of air absorption, obstructions and the curvature of the Earth's floor. different potential are used inclusive of narrow-band alerts that are easier to get over history noise, plus ideas like ahead blunders Correction that enable an indication to be decoded even even as the information is corrupted or 'damaged'.

How do you think satellites got up there? Or the fact that we know so much about space unlike we did 100 years ago? Anyway they are learning more about space then they tell the public.

I'm 45 years old and I wish they would learn more faster.

I would love to go into orbit and look at the earth.
Public space flight would be AWSOME!

Wonder what a ticket would cost?

I kind of see his point.. They aren't amking anymore major discoveries... but then again.. Learning something is better than being in the drak. However, I think the money would be better spent helping our life's better on earth.

What are you calling, and use examples please, the "same ****"? Is it the stuff you don't understand or care to research because you are lazy? By no means is it "the same ****" - have you ever been to college? Have you taken any science classes?
