mankind is truly not free but a slave to the idea of freedom and equality. if man was free there would be no laws stopping man from doing many thing. but man was the able to say and do what ever man wants but by doing so may destroy some of his freedoms. man is locked up for breaking laws thus destroying man's able to go where man wants.
So man is bond by the laws of man's fellow man.
truly i tell you if man was truly free the world would Be a place of chaos.
i be but a wise man

No, like all living creatures we are enslaved to basic needs, food, shelter, etc, or we will perish. Also our human nature, such as wants and desires sometimes compel us to do things that don't make us happy. Like any type of addict, they know it's not good for them, but seemingly can't stop (smoking, drinking). You can at the end of the day technically be more freer than the next person, but not totally free. Emotions play a big part in our make up, that bind us to our desires limiting our freedom. You might not get envious as much, angry as much, feel despair often on bad days, but you are not totally free. Someone “makes you mad” you seemingly have no control over someone ruining your happiness, you are enslaved. If you were truly free, nothing would make you mad, you (not they) would be in control. Ironically we all have free will, and yet it is our free will that gets us into trouble most often. Example: An animal eats when it’s hungry, out of instinct, period. A human will either choose not to eat when hungry (diet), or over eat when full. Having faith, and hope helps.

It's not an all-or-nothing answer. In other words, the answer "yes" or "no" won't do. Humans are free to a degree in certain ways and not free to a certain degree in other ways. You need to create a list of things in which humans might be more or less free and describe why they are more or less free. Then you'll have a better answer for your question.

Well, you need to know what you mean by free. Does your teacher mean free will? If so, then you need to argue whether or not you think that God created us with choice (rather than say, predestination). If you don't believe in God, consider if you believe that we have the freedom of choice.
The teacher is posing that question to make you consider it carefully, because these sorts of questions have been with mankind for a long time. There is no simple or 'right' answer.

Humanity has always been attached and needed of something outside from him/her eg food, water, etc.
As in liberty of opinion... there is a song from sneaker pimps that says "...if you think you are doing special, it´s been done...", we only recombine that which has already been changed into new forms and ways (hence the death of art), we have to take whatever has been done before and reinvent it to successfully turn it into something "original", but there is no originality but the way you put the ideas together. And even there you are influenced by some other artist or person. I believe that humanity isn´t free from itself.
Therefore no.
The song also says "...you ask me how to kill your headache, use a gun...".

Unfortunately the answer to that question is no. I've been thinking about it once I read your question (good question). First lets define free in relation to our lives. Are we free from obligations - no. Are we free from responsibility - no. Are we free to choose our lifestyle and not let it affect our means of income - NO. And that's the big one - we live in a society that is run by money, period. You earn money by choosing a carreer. Unfortunately once you have choosen your path, you must live it. How you are expected to look, how are you expected to act, What lifestyle you are expected to lead. You do have certain freedoms on that path but the path is not freedom, it dictates what freedoms you have!

No, the human is not free, but body parts are very reasonable, as long as they are non-functioning and can not be used for transplantation purposes. On that note, functioning parts from healthy fresh corpses that have been carefully and professionally removed are expensive. My understanding that an entire usable corpse of transplant-able parts could fetch as much as $198,000.00 US on the black market and upwards of $356,000.00 on the open legitimate market. Consult with your sources if you have any interest.

Humans are created in God's image with the ability to make decisions unlike animals that are "enslaved" to instincts. Even though pressure is placed upon us to obey governmental laws. We are free to obey or disobey authority (Man's or God's). In that sense humans are free.

Never somebody somewhere always wants something from you. If you live in the wild animals expect you to leave them alone if you live in a metropolis everybody wants money.just to breath the atmosphere expect carbon monoxide from you.from birth you are expected to die freedom is an illusion.
