Mom bless her heart screamed for us to come inside NOW oh oh Mom says so we did. Inside she tells us to get out of our wet cloths, bedroom I go, reaching over to turn on the light a bolt struck in the backyard and a blue arc came through the switch and surrounded my hand, peed my pants didn't notice cause already wet.
Next day went out to backyard and found little divots about six inches around taken from the grass I didn't even hear God say FORE

Yes, several years ago while living in Vermont I was sitting in my living room when lightning struck just out side the window next to me. I was very shocked to see what apeared to be a small ball of fire crackeling next to my head. It was only there for about 5 seconds and then just vanished. That is as close as I have ever come to being struck by lightning. I was told that that is called ball lightning.

Once. Dad and I were outside talking with a married couple (friends of the family) when out of nowhere it sounded like a million firecrackers went off over our heads. there was not even time to "duck" as a reaction, it was so fast! The lightning had aparently struck the house across the street from us, and knocked a guy off of a ladder on the backside of the house as he was scraping old paint from the second floor exterior. Unfortunately, our friend's wife was scared so badly, she peed her pants and was crying and didn't seem to know what to do for about 4 minutes.
It was a powerful display of energy...one I will never forget!

yes I have. I was out on my porch last year watching a storm when a blast of lightning and thunder struck at the same time. It was about 400 ft. away but I could feel the static electricity rush by me. It stood every hair on my body straight up. Yes, even the short ones......lol

Nope, but others believe that I have caused them to almost be struck by lightening, maybe I did, maybe I did'nt, they'll never know.

I think so. When I was about ten, my friend and I were playing out in the rain, and I saw a bolt of lightning almost hit the ground...about three feet away. Pretty scary.

About 50 ft away while I was working on one of the highest peaks in my state. Interesting experience.
