I think it is hard no matter where you go.
I think first you have to really know the qualities you are looking for, and also know the qualities you can't live with. Then try and do things to meet men, like go to Sports Bars or pool halls, workout gyms- places where single men will be.
I have heard the book "Love smarts" by Dr. Phil is very helpful in finding a man, and I have had a few friends with great success on Match.com Why don't you give it a try.
Also, prayer works. Ask God to help find you a great husband that you will be happy with.

That's a question that I've been wondering about for a while. I have a number of single friends and after hanging with them for years, I've come to the conclusion they all, male and female, have unrealistic wants for a mate. The guys all want gorgeous women (never mind they are not gorgeous men) and the women want guys who do not exist in real life- perfect men. They all think to accept less would be "settling."

because most of the single eligible men seem to want to move To New York to become...dancers. Any way, these women should be looking for single men, not husbands.(they're already taken)

two words "soap operas" most women want a guy that is perfect and wont give the time of day to anyone else . the only problem is when they find their idea of a perfect man he usually turns out to be homosexual.,, ,,,the irony of hollywood lies
