well there is an article in the world cup website that states some of france's strategies for the game and it also says something about Brazil's weakneses i quote the french coach"Against the Brazilians, you have to take everything into account: technique, tactics and physique. They’re a team with above average athletic qualities. Going forward, they are awesome, but at the back, they leave gaps we might be able to exploit. You have to somehow get hold of the ball in these spaces while getting numbers forward, and that’s another thing altogether." Brazil are a lot stronger than Spain and are the favourites for the tournament,” said Thuram. "They have five stars on their shirt, and their achievements since the dawn of the global game can’t be ignored,” Henry added.
so really i guess this game was about technique and waiting for them to make a mistake and take advatage of it.
hopefully i answered your question

I'm blaming Brazil soccer coach Carlos Alberto Parreira for that. He did not understand how to get best game out of best players in the world. For example Brazilian striker Ronaldo played only last 20 minutes of that game. French goal keeper was never challenged by the Brazilian.

Because although Brazil has the most respected player in the world, they don't have the most respected game in the world..
How they play is just such a boring game without any Brazilian style game.. And France knew how to take care of the Brazilian..

Because they went into this world cup with an attitude as though they had already won it, and they did not perform at the level of their egos, and also cause they do not know how to play as a team...
did you see how they escaped immediately into the changing rooms? They did not even stay to say goodbye to their fans...
And because Ronaldo is a cheat who tried twice to earn a penalty and instead destiny got against him...
Obviously BRASIL aint what it used to be... oh well... all comes to an end.... 5 cups is enough for them!!

In FIFA,strength is not the fist factor that a team will become the winner.Status and good luck are also important, i think their status worse than France, On the contrary, the victory soul of France become more and more strong,so the only word i could say is "this is FIFA,as can give us much startling and exciting thing."

The failed to show up as the powerhouse we know them as. France really controlled that game. I think Brazil got really lax for some reason.

the french players studied the brazillian players and when one of the good players came along two other french players blocked them out stole the ball and got more shots on net. Also france has thierry henry and zinadine zidane very good players on the french team who made the game 1-0 when zidane crossed the ball and henry tapped it in

Simple...Poor coaching, poor conditioning and poor cabality of working as a TEAM.. when you play as individuals..you will win but not the biggest games...look at the Atlanta Braves...

they went 15 years and were always finishing 1st in Division and were ALWAYS in the playoffs...BUT...as they played with individual talent and were never completely cohesive as a team..they only came away with ONE World Series Title...

How about this they not only showed to much confidence but also intimidated everyone else, with the exception of France. They sure thought them their lesson, it's about hard work and great intelligence when it comes to truly showing genuine skills.
