Motorcycle travel from US to Argentina, does anybody have datailed info, Thank you.?

A friend made the trip 5 years ago and had a few problems. He said going through Mexico is the most dangerous part. Never travel at night and never stop for anyone that appears to be stranded. Central America is not much better. Brazil is okay, and from there it's not too bad. If I remember he said it took about a month to make the trip from Ohio to where he was going, don't remember exactly.
