I think Oprah Winfrey is one of the most influential people in society today. She's nearly everywhere and in everything. Several people talk about how her talk show "speaks to them" in a way, and how they are inspired by her. She is a humanitarian, and has even helped with the Broadway production of "The Color Purple". Of course, there are other influential personalities out there in society today in several different aspects, such as Angelina Jolie with her humanitarianism. She's donated a lot of money to other countries and stuff like that.
