Because of chromosone disorder, I was told by my dr. to have an abortion in the 7th month of my pregnancy. That was 17 yrs. ago. I have told my 2 daughters, 21 & 16, about him and the situation. So they are aware that they have a brother in heaven. I try to make the day of my loss of him special as a family, so we always remember him in some way. Any suggestions?

Im so sad for you. I love it when doctors think they have all the answers----like getting fird of the baby will ever make him go away in your heart. That is a whole other post I guess.

Why not do something special like doing something for a crisis pregnancy center? Giving to women that want to keep their babies but are in financial crisis? Or making donation of some sort to a womans shelter.....

Plant a tree in the baby's memory, maybe create a special place in your yard. I dont know. Just some thoughts.....

Have you ever heard of Project Rachel?http://www.jmahoney.com/rachmain.htm

In the 7TH MONTH!? But it is so dangerous to have that kind of operation later than the 3RD month! As for a memorial, how have you been remembering? I sent an angel teddy bear to a friend of mine who'd miscarried her firstborn. Oddly enough, she named him Teddy. I don't know what she's done with the bear, maybe she put it away, maybe she set it on a shelf, some place special in her home.

Every year on his anniversary of entering Heaven, make a donation in your son's name to a charity that helps children with that chromosomal disorder who have entered this world instead.

Have everyone write a note to him on a Balloon and let it go into the Heavens.

It's such a wonderful and beautiful release.

I am so sorry you had to go through that.

I don't know but this had to be a very heartwrenching decision for you to make. I cannot even imagine being in this situation.
