I drove a hoopty....but it was so much fun! My grandfather couldn't drive anymore, so I my grandparents gave me their 1980 Chevette...I was born in 1980!

I was embarrassed at first to take it to school, but having any car at 16 earned me some "friends"! LOL

Once I drove 13 kids home one day....it was a 2 door too....very funny at the time! The bottom dragged on the street, and people's faces were mashed against the windows! Ah - being young! I have fun memories of that car!

It didn't set any design standards, but it ran on & on. It wasn't unusual to stuff about seven or eight of my closest friends in it.

my ride was a 1982 Olds Omega. The car would die at intersections. So, I had to keep one foot on the gas while the other was on the brake. The thing lasted for years!!! One time I was driving in the middle of winter. I was on a hill that curved to the left. Lost control of the car went off the side of the hill Dukes of Hazard style ened up landing in someone's back yard. The people came running out of the house. They told all they saw through there window was headlights.
Luckily there was like several feet of snow. I started the car right up they helped me pull it out of their yard and drove home.
Let me tell ya, I wear a seat belt to this day!!!

My first car was a 1971 Mustang Fastback. With a 351 Cleveland and a C4 Automatic. It was gray with a black interior. I loved that car. Washed it every other day, and I thought it was the fastest car. I remember one night when I went out with some friends I found myself next to a EVO viii so I reved my engine. And my friends told me not to, but I found myself dust in my face and dissapointment.

A 1980 Ford Mustang that had been a police car...it had been souped up quite a bit. Bought it at a state auction. Named it Mortimer.

I totaled it a couple of years later...

1976 Chevelle Malibu with a 350 engine and 4 barrel carburetor. It didn't look the greatest, but it would beat most other cars in a downtown drag race.

First car I owned,

1973 Plymouth Satellite Sebring. 318, two barrel, automatic transmission, nasty light green metallic with white vinyl roof and white vinyl interior, plenty of rust and tears in the vinyl. AM radio, no A/C but plenty of room for my 6' tall friend Ed to lie in the trunk.
