Good point...
It is very sad and truth.. To see the very young girls dressing exaclty like that!...
Pierced, tattoed...and stuff that my parents would never thought to let me do and surely I never allowed in my children...

Here's the deal.....
If the parents wouldn't BUY those hoochie mama clothes for their daughters then the MANUFACTURERS would quit making them.
Ever notice that most of the time the girls wearing the hip hugger pants and the short tops with 6 inches of flesh hanging out around their middle are usually the chubby ones? They wear their pants 2 sizes too small and then push a big roll of flubber up around their middle and put on a short tank top with no bra and think they look hot..my daughter wouldn't get out of the house like that, she's 13 and she's still not allowed to have a 2 piece bathing suit.
I'm one of the few parents that actually give a d@mn about my children.

The descriptive word 'parent' is probably a misnomer, since far too many people who have given birth to children don't have parenting skills and never will. Your question is a sample of a much broader problem in that it's easy to get pregnant and have a child, but competent parenting requires much more. There's no prerequisite relating to education or parenting skills in order to bring a child into the world, so the end result is much the same as if no licensing was required to drive a car and anyone is permitted to do it.

Great question!!!!!!!!! I hate to bandwagon, but I will agree with most of the people here and say the parenting is lost. I have lived all over the U.S. and I have been finding it more and more difficult to distinguish between a teenager and an adult female. Parents are having kids as accessories and letting our schools raise them. Year around school? How about year around parenting because I have an appointment for a pedicure? My parents whooped my butt when I was a pain and now all they do is get detention...mmmmkkkaayy.

12 year old girls can be sneaky. They leave the house covered up and then take some layers off when they're away from their parents. I remember being in middle school and going to the bathroom before school started in the morning and a bunch of girls would be standing in front of the mirror putting on makeup and changing clothes. so it's not ALWAYS the parents' fault.

I see a lot of 5 year olds around here dressing that way. Makes me want to scream!!!!
I was pregnant at 16, mostly due to the fact that I looked more like a 25 year old. My mom didn't really care. She got tired of fussing over my clothes, so she just gave up.
I'm so glad I learned from her mistakes. My daughter will not be a victim like I was.

Self-esteem is the reason that so many parents let their 12 yr old daughters dress like hookers. Some parents think that because they once or still dressed that way that it's okay for their daughters to walk around dressed like that, attracting older men, pediphiles, sex offenders, and pmps.

to be honest i would never let my child dress like that but do remember that sometimes its beyond the parents choice or what they want, kids dont always listen and if they know it annoys there parents the chances are they will continue doing it and if not wearing worser things. but like i said, some parents dont find a problem with it and others feel they cant control it, as the kids are going to do it regardless, its just like drugs and skipping school.

How about it?
I have girls myself and let me tell you it is difficult to find clothing that is appropriate for their age..or what I feel is appropriate anyway.
Difficult as it is, I won't let them dress in what seems to be popular now.
I myself don't dress that way and I'll be dammed if my daughters do.
I've written to clothing companies and even some major stores and asked them to inlucde in their clothing line some more conservative type clothing.
I'm no prude by any means but litte children are only litte for son long, there is no need to rush them into adulthood.

I can't figure that out, unless it is ignorance. It seems that with all the perverts and child molesters that are around, they would be more careful with their children. But, I think most people still think of their young children as babies and don't see them as being a temptation to some sicko. Sometimes, it is good to be naive, but, in this case it could be very dangerous.

And then the same parents wonder why some freak of a male snatched their daughter and raped her.
Ignorant aren't they.
Too many parents today don't understand what "parent" means. It's not buddy nor friend.
