Go the Socceroos!

I think they can't be 100% sure they would have won over Italy if they had played the extra time because Italy, even down one man, was defending well. But they played well, and if they keep up the good job, we'll see them again in the next World Cup.

Hopefully they make it to the quarterfinals and take their revenge over... the team that Marcello Lippi will be coaching in 2010 LOL
I'm sorry for the Aussies because I like their country, but as an Italy fan, I'm pleased that Guus Hiddink felt what it is like to be the victim of a controversial refereeing. What goes around comes around, I guess.

They have acieved so much in the current world cup, to bring soccer to the forefront and highlight its good and bad attributes. They have put passion in the game and built the foundation to kick *** at the next world cup. Hopefully Lucas Neil, Cahill, Culina and Kwell become more seasoned players in that time and Archie + Josh become regular starters. They are an attack team in need of new strickers.

i hope they win it. I hope they make it all the way to the last match and their opponent is Italy, then they beat Italy with an insanely large number of goals, and that Italy doesn't even get a shot. I think that would be perfect.

as long as they build on this experience and keep around the same players look for Australia to make some serious noise

I hope they do well. They played great against Italy, even though I love my Italians and for me they cannot do wrong, I really admired the way they played and hopefully next WC they come back and they kick ***.
