I did (Long before the movie came out) and am just wondering if any others have had this experience.

Just in case any of you wonder... Yes! I still consciously practice this today because of that unknown black gentleman who gave me a brand new tire and money for gas and food when my purse had been stolen and I was stranded. His race is only important because I am caucasian and this took place in the early 70's when racial issues were so tense and prejudice even more prevalant than today. He was not a wealthy man and when I told him I was not from the area and tried to get an address to return this to him when I got home, he refused and told me to help others in need.

His gift has benefited many people over the years... most of all Me!

I have received a pay it forward. My car ran out of gas just as I pulled into the gas station, and to my dismay I had no money with me, there was a gentleman in the gas station who gave me $20 for gas to get me home, and when I asked where I could return the money, he simply smiled and said, " Maybe someday you'll see me or someone else stuck on the side of the road and you'll help them" Well, I try to help if I can, but I am a single mom and usual travel with my 3 young daughters so sometimes I'm leery of stopping, but the other day, we were driving home, and there was torrential rains and a car had hydroplaned and gone into a ditch right in front of us, there were three young guys in the car, and I stopped. They were all ok, but like I said it was poring out, so I let them sit in my van for 1 1/2 hours until a tow truck could get there so they could stay dry. I really didn't DO anything other than keep them out of the rain for a while, but it felt really great to feel like I was helping out a fellow human being you know. I think the world would be a much better place if more people would PAY IT FORWARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, though not as big as yours. I was in line at an espresso stand and the woman in the car in front of me gave the attendant $5 to pay for the next persons order - which was me! Random acts of kindness :)

I help kids at the supermarket checkout who don't quite have enough for whatever mum has sent them to buy. I have also helped a couple of ladies who didn't have enough to get their milk, bread and puzzle magazine (prices of milk and bread just keep going up!)
I have helped family members when they are short of money for bills or shopping.
the list goes on and it makes me feel so good about myself.
I feel it all came full circle when a friend of mine brought me food and money to get to work as I had none left after helping my sister out. I tried to pay her back the following week and she wouldn't let me.

Wow, your really lucky. In my community i haven't heard of anyone doing anything like that. I mean there are a small amount of us who tried something like that but, since we are still young (and still relying on our parents financially) it is kind of hard. I think that all of this is just a work of really good people and you were lucky enough to be involved. I hope that it reaches this community.

Yes we have. We broke down in South Carolina. We were towed off the highway to a local hotel for free. My hubby and I always try to do things for others when we see they are in need.
