help my ipod just ceased up; i know there is a reset; HELP

Do this...
Switch the hold button to orange Then to white and press the center button

It SEIZED up, so you need to reset it?
1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
2. Press and hold the Play/Pause and Menu buttons until the Apple/iPod logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

try to either connect it to the charger mine locked up and wouldn't do anything i connected it to the charger and it stopped going crazy.
Also the reset is to connect it to yhe computer, turn the hold switch on and off, and then hold center and menu buttons until the apple logo appears.
