Not feeling good abou yourself is a good indication. Maybe talking with someone that can have an objective view might be helpful.

You just gave us a good indication that counseling might be a good thing for you if you are not feeling good about yourself.
If you are feeling sad, angry, frustrated, stuck in a pit or whatever for any length of time and these feelings are causing you to be unable to carry on all the activities you usually do in a day, then I would suggest contacting a counselor.
You may need to speak to several counselors before you find the right one that will be best for your situation. You don't have to have a mental illness to seek counseling, as some people think ... it is just one added support to help you put your life together and answer some of the questions you may have been unable to answer yourself.

It's never a bad idea to get counseling. It can only help you with your problems. It sounds like you may need it now, but I don't know I'm not a doctor. You shouldn't wait until you need it though anyway. You should get it now.

If you realized that there is something wrong with you... That is the first step...
If you still feel that you are too weak to move on from there, get some help for guidance...
If you feel strong enough that you took this first step on your on, then maybe you can handle everything else that will come along...
Remember...
"Someone out there is always in a worst case than you..."
"God wouldn't give you anything that you can not handle..."

i've asked myself the same question, but i haven't gone in for counseling and i still consider myself ok. i'd say go ahead and try it if you can afford it. if you try it and then find out you don't like it or need it, then stop going. definitily go if you have some serious problems, like hurting yourself or other people often and seriously.
