In the scientific world, you are describing gravity?
But from a philosophical viewpoint, this is not true. All greatness (wether good or bad), subscribes to the big bang theory and is continually expanding and growing.
I would not count your mood, because it is based on emotions, which go up and down from their very nature.
I also would not count objects, since they are natural and subject to gravity and decay.
But, everything else (intangible) on your list is subject to the ever expanding theory.
For example:
Jesus, Shakespeare, Hitler, Mohammad and Elvis could all fall under SUCCESS whether good or bad and they are all now bigger and more influential than when they were alive and will continue to grow in influence. These are people from different centuries and philosophies who have changed the world.
If you continue to nurture anything in life in a good way, by building and not tearing down, It will continue to grow.
Relationships, knowledge, life, career, illusions none of these are limitless. Remember keep nurturing.

No. That way of thinking is completely incorrect in my opinion. Anything that has gone up can stay up if it is maintained. It's all a matter of how you go about it.
Some of the things you have mentioned there don't even have ups and downs. Like knowledge, which can only go up. And your mood has more than just TWO paths.
And if we are talking about non-physical matters, like most of what you have mentioned, then it all depends on opinion. It depends on what a person considers to be a rise (an up), or a fall (a down). And don't ask me why I decided to add the brackets with "an up and "a down"... lol... cos I don't know why...

"What goes up must come down" is a gross oversimplification of the laws of gravity. The laws of gravity really are about the attraction between two bodies, one usually being much smaller than the other. We usually think in terms of "earth" and "everything else", but the laws of gravity apply to all sorts of things. Include the earth's gravitational attraction to the sun, which is why it orbits. So, when we think in terms of the universe instead of the earth, that law has never been applicable.
Philosophically though, you ask some good questions. I think it's reasonable to assume that things don't neccesarily have to go down just because they've gone up. I'm happier now than I've ever been, and I plan on staying that way!

Generally yes. However up and down are relative terms. What is up at North pole is down at South pole. The concept is a direct result of Gravitation of Earth. On the other level statistically stock market has to have ups and downs. Same goes with your fame, success and money etc.

Everything has its cycle, which is referred to its ups and downs. With regard to life and the things of life nothing can keep expanding endlessly nor can any object or thing remain on the rise indefinitely. We live in a dying world, a world where everything must come to an end. Eventually, everyone and every thing must either die or deteriorate; thus, it has its moment of rising and its moment of falling. Even the soul of man is subject to rising and falling. Hell is for the fallen and heaven is for the risen.

Well no, did you ever see the Pacha club owner(that`s in Ibiza)
The old man made it with nothing really, and is still extending his empire.
And something can`t be proved by past experience.Just because you saw a rock fall down every time you threw it does not meen that it will do so again.(you can throw it on the roof of a house and itt will never fall)

What goes up does not necessarilly come down. Think Shuttle. You can overcome gravity. Plus mass makes a difference. You can create your own gravity or lack there of. Inertia has some influence here as well. Throw something and if it is not acted upon it will on going.

Not true from a physics standpoint. We can send rockets into space and as long as they totally escape Earth's gravity, the will never come back down to Earth.

Yes, when you are happy there is a point you come down to be sad. When you are building a business it reaches a high point then it comes down to where you either sell or go bankrupt. Everything has a high point. You love your husband but after about 20 years it comes down to just caring about him and then it may come to a point of wishing he would die.

Since you include "objects" the answer is NO.
Have you ever heard of a little spacecraft called Voyager. Last I heard it is outside the orbit of Pluto and on its way to deep deep space. I doubt it will ever return, and that would be necessary for it to come down. Wouldn't it??
