Right click on your desktop and then go to ARRANGE ICONS BY and see if your "Show desktop icons" is unchecked.

If its unchecked, you need to check it.

If you still dont see it, then contact me. We can try several steps.

I cant reply to your email because it says that your email is unverified.

Right click on the wallpaper background. You should see an option for "ARRANGE ICONS BY" and then you should see the option for "SHOW DESKTOP ICONS". You need to make sure its checked.

Are you sure you cant right click as well? You should still be able to get to your desktop settings.

Also try going to Start then go to RUN and type msconfig. Hit enter and then check your startup tab. Make sure only things you recognize are on that list. If its a spyware or virus then you should do a scan on your hard drive just in case.

If you did have some stuff there before then maybe your settings are wrong. When you are looking for a file or folder it lets you choose to only show microsoft word documents or only show jpg documents or only show gif documents, etc. You should just click on "only show...." and choose "show all files and folders" if you want to see everything.
