I am not trying to fry chicken! My skin is sooo oily it is getting into my eyes. What can I do besides caking it up with powder?

Oily Skin Treatment
When the sebaceous glands in the body produce excess sebum, your skin turns oilier. Due to this skin condition you are most prone to face problems such as acne, whiteheads....

I have really oily skin also and I use a cheap cold cream before washing my face. After that, I wash with Olay deep cleansing face wash with witch hazel using either my face brush (has really soft bristles) or a face buffer. Let that sit for a few minutes then rinse. Next use the Yves Rocher BioSpecific Pore Regulation mattifying toner. After that spot treat any outbreaks with this product called Clear Zit. Then I use this cream called Symba (I can't find it anywhere where I live except on the military base but I'm sure it's sold in other places) for skin smoothing and lightening any blemishes. That seems to work very well for me.

I find that using one set of products doesn't work all that well for me and it's taken me years to find what works for me.

cut back on the greasy foods maybe. I heard that what you eat doesn't affect how oily your skin is, but i think it does. Maybe buy some special face wash and wash your face 3 times a day. Your oily skin might also just be genetic. My cousin, aunt and grandma all have really oily skin and they are the cleanest, healthiest people ever. You just never really know!

I have really oily hair and skin. I have to wash my hair daily. I also use shampoos and soap products that are designed for oily skin. I also don't wear makeup. I found that it actually makes it worse. Sometimes I have to wash my face and hands a couple of times a day but this is usually during my period!

Use cleansers that are made for oily skin. Only wash your face twice a day. And get some of those oil blotting sheets to take off excess oil during the day.

They have lots of good products for oily skin in the stores. I use a product from Yves Rocher (a mail order co.) called Bio Specific Pore Regulation. It works great on my combination skin and they have some for dry skin and some for oily skin that I'm sure would help you. Its a bottle of facial scrub and a bottle of toner that match your needs. (Gosh I sound like a commercial!)

In my own opinion, if you have oily skin the best thing to do is to wash your face 2-3 times a day...and apply a natural astringent..such as witch hazel to prevent acne outbreaks..Or even better; ask your dermatologist..he/she may be able to prescribe medication for your problem.

Hey!

Okay, this is going to sound really weird but this is one of the BEST-KEPT BEAUTY SECRET for those with oily skin: applying Milk of Magnesia to your skin completely sucks up oil. Weird, yes... but it's been a godsent for me!!

I totally understand your problem. I have chronically oily skin, friends have actually told me to wipe my face because it gets so oily. Milk of Magnesia has helped me tremendously! My face stays matte through the day!

Use special cosmetics for oily skin. Like face wash, make up, moisturizer. Don't skip moisturizer, if your skin "feels" that it's dry, it will increase oil production for protection.

what really helped me was clearasil. For some reason that soap really dried up my skin, and I also have oily skin.
