i have also found myself reaching back to the old eras to get quality movies. i think that you would also like the ORIGINAL freaky friday i found myself just cracking up by it. the godfather pt 1 and 2 are awesome. singing in the rain is whimsical the running man with dustin hoffman will keep you on the edge of your seat.
