In about a month or so, I plan to move from Arizona to New Jersey. I have heard there are great beaches, fun things to do, gardens to see, mountains, state parks, waterfalls and lots of historical things to see. New Jersey sounds like an exciting place... considering this, can anyone tell me from NJ or who has visited if NJ was a neat place in some way or another?

Thanks,

Joe

Thanks all for providng some answers. Just curious though as you all said depends on what part of the state I move to, is it a huge distance to travel to say North Jersey if I decide to live in South Jersey or vice versa? Also, is the "Newark Ironbound" pretty cool? I hear it has restaurants and such...

Depends on what part of New Jersey you are moving to. Newark inner city is the pits as are some of the surrounding suburbs. Never quite recovered from the riots in "67. Short Hills and Milburn are very nice. I used to work there. Southern Jersey has Cherry Hill which is still nice. Depending on where you move. One thing though, you have to get used to the attitude and not take it personal.

What's neat about Jersey is that you are close to everything. New York, Philadelphia, Atlantic City.

I'm originally from East Orange which has had changes since I was a kid. Father's people were from Montclair. All these areas have undergone major upheaval. Nothing stays the same.

Why, it is where all the trash goes from New York. Stay in Arizona. If you want to go to Jersey, just go visit don't move. Oh, by the way, what exit?
