If your sister is due today then she will have to go to the hospital
and there she can talk to the doctor who will help her.
Besides, asking medical questions like this on the net
will get you to many unprofessional answers and only
confuse you.

I have had two babies myself the last one ten months ago. When you are nine or more months pregnant and due just about everything hurts. I don't think I slept for three days before either of my sons was born. What she's feeling from my experience is most front end of labor. I would expect her to be in full labor very soon. Definately holding her little one in the next couple of days. I hope she has an easy labor and delivery and a very healthy happy baby. Good Luck.

If it feels the same as period cramps she could be going into labor. All 3 of my labors started w/ contractions similar to the cramps I get on my period. When in doubt call the dr., midwife, or if you have "call a nurse" - Good Luck!

I had a pain like that and it was called round ligament pain. It is perfectly normal. However, I am not a doctor and just because that's what was wrong with me does not mean that is what's wrong with her. Look it up on the internet and check out the symptoms. But she should really call the doctor because you don't want to take any chances.

I'm sure the paramedics are on the way but in the mean time make sure that her breathing is steady, she's lying down, and u have plenty of towels and some hot water ready just in case they don't make in time. If she is having contractions tell her to push and make sure u can see the baby's head but please don't panick!!! Congrats to her good luck to u both!!!

Yeah my belly ached for weeks before I gave birth because the baby starts descending down and it causes soreness. When she starts contracting she will definately know.

It sounds like to me that it is a contaction. That is how mine started out. Have her go to the Emergency Room and get checked out. You never know. Tell her to walk and if it gets worse then it is a contraction and she definately needs to go in.
Good luck on the new baby. Congrats

It's very normal. It's stretching down there and her body is getting ready to deliver. If she's concerned, she should go to a hospital.
